In 2006 we achieved our goal of opening our own premises dedicated to gymnastics, over the years it has seen some major changes, these being the area upstairs that consists of viewing, kitchen and changing areas. The porch added to the front of the building and extra parking extended in the field adjacent to the existing car park. All of which proved valuable in the first Club Competition to be held at the venue during Nov 2010. More recently the club has taken delivery and fitting of a brand new Continental Sprung floor. The club is constantly looking to replace the smaller bits of equipment such as springboards and landing mats.
The Club now has a role of over 700 gymnasts both male and female, ranging from aged 1-19 including, Parent/Toddler, Independent Fundamental Sessions, Gymnastics for Disabilities, Recreational and Competitive Sessions. The more capable gymnasts in the club may take part in displays such as Boultham Park Fair where the club has been a popular visitor since the fair started 18 years ago. The Club enjoys the services of a dedicated team of over 20 experienced male and female coaches, led by Head Coach Alan Hutchinson, the coaches range from Level 1 through to Level 4 determining the difficulty of skills the coaches can teach and support. As well as the coaches there are people at the gym who help to keep the club running on a day to day basis dealing with finance, kit, supplies and admin. All in all, the Lincoln Gymnastics Club certainly promotes a very positive “Gymnastics for All” ethos.
Welcome to Lincoln Gymnastics Club
